What exactly will the Vermont Parks Forever Package include? (Amenities, park tickets, F&B deal, etc)

Booking a Vermont Parks Forever Room is primarily driven by the included donation – $15 per night will be returned to the nonprofit to support upkeep of and education around Vermont State parks. As an added incentive, you will be placed in one of three Vermont Park themed rooms – Mount Philo Suite, Camel’s Hump Room, or Green River Reservoir Room. Each has been outfitted with decor to reflect the parks, curated by local, award-winning gift shop, Common Deer. If you plan to visit the parks during your stay, you’ll have access to complimentary park entrance passes. You’ll be welcomed with a locally made s’mores kit from Vermont Marshmallow Co.

What percentage of the rate is going to the parks?

(We have to build this at a flat rate on top of fluctuating daily rates) $15 per night

How many park passes will be included?

Guests that book the package will have access to complimentary Vermont Parks passes for each person on the reservation.

Will there be any limitations on booking the package from a timing perspective ex. Seasonal, blackout dates?

We intend the installation to be available for a year, with the only limitation being the 3 available rooms (first come, first served). While the rooms will be bookable all year, the use of the included parks pass may be restricted as parks open and close seasonally.

Design and partnership

What are a couple of reasons why this partnership felt like such a good fit for the hotel?

Since our inception, one of Hotel Vermont’s grounding brand pillars has been natural. Vermont’s landscapes and our natural surroundings are infused into and inspires our design, service style, and guest experience. We see Vermont Parks Forever’s mission is a more literal manifestation of what we strive to do everyday: share the beauty of Vermont in its truest form. Not only does this collaboration allow us to support an organization that works to maintain the natural landscapes that bring us so much inspiration, but it gives our guests the opportunity to experience them both within and beyond our walls.

What is included in the partnership with Common Deer?

We leaned on local gift shop Common Deer to help us outfit and elevate the room experience for this package. We have maintained a friendship with the shop over the years, sending guests in search of locally made items to commemorate their stay just a few blocks down to the Common Deer storefront. Bringing them onto this project was a natural fit, as they have a pre-existing collaboration with Vermont Parks Forever, working local artists to create depictions of nearly all Vermont parks from which a portion of proceeds go back to VPF.

What design elements were brought in to specialize the room for this partnership?

We largely let the Common Deer take the reins on design elements. With their connections to local makers and ability to curate a lineup of tasteful products, we trusted their expertise to outfit the rooms in a way that aligned with both Hotel Vermont and Vermont Parks. We wanted elements that appealed to all senses, captured the essence of Vermont, and added a bit of fun.
