As part of Burlington's Discover Jazz Festival, Chris Peterman and Friends will be playing tonight in the lobby from 9:30 pm - 11: 30 pm.

Join us for a brew tour this Friday afternoon from 4:00pm - 7:00pm!  We will be biking around Burlington's downtown and South-end areas to taste a variety of unique local brews.  We will begin our guided biking tour at the new Foam Brewery, then meander down Pine Street to Switchback Brewery, and Zero Gravity, ending with light stop at Citizen Cider. We will then return home to Hotel Vermont.  Each tasting stop will offer a new explosion of artisan brewing at a local level.  We will meet in the lobby at 3:45pm, and plan to return within 3.5 hours. Tours are $50 per person and include a Hotel Vermont guide, bike, and tastings at each establishment (food not included).  For questions or to reserve your spot, please email ask@hotelvt.com.

June 19 - Female Founders Speaker Series

The Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies and Hotel Vermont are proud to announce the Female Founder Speaker Series. Featuring female entrepreneurs from around the state, the series aims to share what it takes to start a company from the ground up. Every month, from January to June, two speakers representing a featured industry will share the story of their business, how to get started, lessons learned, where they hope to go in the future, and more.

There will also be plenty of time for Q&A and networking with appetizers provided and a cash bar in the beautiful Juniper Hall at Hotel Vermont.

The cost of the event is $15 per person, per event, and 100% of proceeds benefit a local charity or nonprofit. All are welcome, but tickets are limited so book them soon!

Way back in 1993, a creative little event started that was designed to bring people to the south end to explore, get-together, see how art is made, and buy art.  The event attracted a couple hundred people, a little music, good art, and visiting about 20 studios and businesses one night in October. 

25 years later, the South End Art Hop continues to bring our community together around creativity, and provides a huge economic boost to our businesses, while hosting over 30,000 visitors on September 8-10, 2017.

 


September 9 - Pride Parade

The Pride Parade is a beloved institution here in Vermont and throughout the world. It began as a anniversary celebration of the Stonewall Riots but has evolved over time to encompass the many LGBT heroes, struggles, and victories since. Pride Parades are held at different times in different places. It begins at the south end of Church St. and ends at Battery Park where the festival is held! Marching in the parade is fun, easy, and inexpensive.
