Malting & Brewing in Vermont
We love all aspects of Vermont’s beer culture. From the people and landscapes that make up our world-renowned breweries, to the hazy IPAs, wild ales, and crisp lagers enjoyed with friends. It’s our understanding that there is no better place to drink beer than Vermont in the summer and fall and we would like to share that with you through the lens of Foam Brewers and Peterson Quality Malt.
Our two day Hotel Vermont Beer Exploration Package represents what it’s like to malt grains and brew beer in Vermont.
Arrive on Wednesday and gather for a five-course beer dinner featuring contemporary Vermont cuisine from Chef Doug Paine and thoughtful Vermont beer pairings from Vermont’s most sought after breweries (Hill Farmstead, The Alchemist, Foam Brewers, Lawson’s Finest Liquids) curated by Beer Concierge, Matt Canning.
The following day embark on the experience of malting grain and brewing beer with two of our closest partners.
Start with breakfast and coffee with the team at Foam Brewers while firing up the brew kettle and mashing in grain to start the day’s brew. Proceeding the morning mash in, travel ten miles south to the new state of the art Peterson Quality Malt facility at Nordic Farm.
The newly appointed, defunct dairy ban, serves as Vermont’s only craft malt house producing the base ingredient for Vermont’s world renown breweries.
Enjoy lunch and a beer tasting in the fields of barley, with stunning views of the Green & Adirondack Mountains. Partake in the final step of production by operating the canning line for the latest offering from Foam Brewers and walk away with the fresh four pack.
The package includes the opening night dinner with beer pairings, transportation the following day, breakfast, lunch/ beer tasting, and a four pack of Foam brews.
This experience is offered once a month June – October on the following dates:
